We are running a WMQI Control Centre with CSD03. Im am trying to install CSD06 and get the following message:
"An incompatible WebSphere MQ Integrator product is present on the host system.
You must remove the incompatible version before proceding with the install setup.
This setup will now abort!"
Does this sound familiar to anyone and how do ik proceed?
Thanks in advance,
Erik |

I suppose that you have WMQ Integrator installed, but CSD06 is for WMQ Integrator Broker ( without NEON support ). _________________ Regards.

Actually I was trying it on a test machine where besides a Control Centre also a Configuration Manager and a Broker are installed.

Yes, though, you may still have downloaded the wrong version of CSD06.
There are two product lines for WMQI v2.1, one is Websphere MQSeries Integrator and the other is Websphere MQSeries Integrator Broker. The Broker version does not have the NNSY modelling support, it only has the MRM.
The two versions are not compatible as far as installation and upgrades. So you may have WMQIB installed, and tried to run CSD06 for WMQI, or vice versa.
Double check that you downloaded the right CSD for the software you're running. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

You are absolutely right.
I am waiting for a fix which is anounced to be part of CSD06 and since this was expected in October, I didn't look further.
Thanks.

Tell me about it. I actually have a historical view of this product (worked at NEON as 1.1 was released) and sometimes wonder what is what. The marketing moves made by IBM with Websphere could provide a year's worth of material for Dilbert. |
