We are currently seeing a sporadic behavior where messages are stuck in the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE without the header, so they don't know where they would go. We developed a small utility to "rescue" these messages, but it doesn't seem like a long term solution. I want to know if anyone know how to consistently reproduce this specific error.
TIA,

Currently this problem was observed in the OpenVMS development environment, but I tried following the IBM instruction, but it seems the system is smart enough to throw me a 2270 (2270 No destination queues available. ) instead of a no-header msg in the xmitq. |

Well this is a stupid question but is there an application trying to write directly to the transmit queue ????? _________________ Jeff

No, I double checked that. I am currently investigating the possibility with threading issues and see if this can be reproduced, but so far there is little luck. I guess the fact it is on Open VMS does really help the matter. |
