Hi, I'm not too familiar with MQ for HP-UX, and i'd like to know if there is any sort of gui for HP-UX in v5.3. We are planning an upgrade from 5.0, and this is one of hte questions that was posed.
Also, is v5.3 compatible with HP-10 |

You can use the Windows MQ Explorer and do remote administration. |

I thought Windows MQ Explorer comes only with Windows version of MQSeries. Also, you need to install server package on your machine to get MQ Explorer. _________________ Kiran

You could always use the MQJExplorer software from Neil Kolban, available at this store now
Or, the one on the IBM SupportPac Web page, I forget the number...
Both of these do not require MQ to be installed on the Windows box, only that a serverconn channel is configured on the target machine (which, to be honest, is lousy security )....
BUT don't forget, these are Administration tools and not Monitoring tools - they allow you to look at, create, change and delete MQ objects BUT they don't update things like channel status and queue depth in real-time - you keep having to hit refresh.... |

The MQ Explorer does come only with windows. You'll have to use it remotely.
I believe dgolding's reference to MQJExplorer is a better option. I had forgotten about it. |

MO71 is the SupportPac that allows remote administration. _________________ Peter Potkay
