Dear Folks,
Is it a must that the id MUSR_MQADMIN be a part of Administrators group ? As far as I know it has to be part of the mqm group for the MQSeries services to start smoothly.
But offlate I have come across situations where MQService would NOT start unless I made this id part of the Administrators group (even if it is a part of mqm already).
Also, sometimes even if every other service starts Listeners are not starting up.
However when the id was added to the Administrators group the Listeners started !
The error logs only show that there was an error in starting Listener service with a return code 20 which is too generic to analyze.
Has anyone faced such situations with your MQSeries setup ?
I'd have to emphasize that - MUSR_MQADMIN should not (need to) be in the Administrators group. Are your domain controllers active directory by any chance> In this case you need define your own domain id for MQ to run under and give it delegate authority (see the quick beginnings). I know of various other errors which are all avoidable, so the real question is what fails when you remove it from the Administrators group and reboot?
