Hello,
I have WMQI version 2.1 installed in my machine (Win 2000). When I checked the Service Level (Start->Programs->Websphere MQ Integrator 2.1->Service Level) it says : NO CSD's AT PRESENT.
But when I use Regedit and go to "CSDS Applied" it contains a value "CSD03" which contains the data "Installed".

So do i have CSD03 installed or not ?

And when I tried to install CSD4 or CSD5 it gives me the error that an incompatible version of the Integrator exists. What are the prerequisites to install CSD4 or CSD5 ? Do i need to have the earlier CSD's installed ?

Thanks

Venkat

Venkat,

What does it show in your memo.ptf file? It should have something like ...
Quote:

This memo.ptf file
corresponds to CSD03 which is defined as PTF UXXXXXX and is divided into the following sections:

Do you have multiple versions of WMQI installed on this box? Is your installation corrupted?

On the base product of WMQI you can install any version of CSD for this product. This means you can install CSD5 directly on the base product.

Kirani,
thanks for that reply. I went through the memo.ptf and it says no CSD's are installed. I just have one version of WMQI installed. But I am unable to install CSD's 4 or 5 in machine. Probably my installation is corrupted as you say. I will reinstall once again from scratch and see if things get better.

Thanks

Venkat

We have encountered a similar problem. We had WMQI 2.1 installed and attempted to install CSD05 (u200196). We received an error message stating:

An incompatible Websphere MQ Integrator product is present on the host system. You must remove the incompatible version before proceeding with the install setup. This setup will now abort!

It turns out that u200196 is CSD05 for WMQI Broker. This is the same as WMQI, but without NNSY. For WMQI, CSD05 is u200195.

Here is a link describing the problem and solution (including how to acquire both u200196 and u200195):

Thanks,
Mike
