Hi all,

I have a small query regarding delimeter that is being given on TDS tab. I have some set of records and i need to delimit them
with / followed by zero or more no. of spaces and followed by any no. of crs followed by any no. of lfs.

eg. 1st record: 1,a,b,c,d,e,f/here any no. of spaces.. followed by any no. of crs, followed by lfs
2nd record: 2,g,h,i,j,k,l/here any no. of spaces ...followed by any no. of crs..followed by lfs
3rd record: 3,g,h,i,j,k,l/here any no. of spaces ...followed by any no. of crs..followed by lfs
............
............

Can any One give me idea onhow to set the delimeter in this case?

Thanks in Advance,
satish

So what you really need is 'whitespace' as your delimiter.
This is not supported at present, but you can get what you need by setting 'Data Element Separation' to 'Data Pattern' on all the records.
This imposes quite a heavy load on the parser, but it allows just about anything to be parsed, and I think it should be able to cope with your message style.

I think you'll need to treat the '/' and its following whitespace as an element which occurs after each record, so that you can give it its own data pattern.
