Hi everybody,

we have a problem with the server.
When we start the server and login with admin utility, everything works fine and i am able to query the servers, Check the System logs etc;
But when i login immediately to check the details , i am able to get info about the Servers through the Utility Menu , but not able to Query the Servers, check System logs etc;
When select one of these options the prompt blinks for a long time before i get a timeout error.This happened several times.
Is there any place where i can find logs in UNIX about what happened here.

Appreciate all your inputs
Thanks
Karthik

What do you mean by this. Immediately after starting the server. I have never seen any problem like this. If your server was not running then you can't get into admin utility at all. How are you doing this.

Thanks venny,

I guess my server is running( I see fmcamain -y process running) , or atleast thats what i think.
First time everything works OK. Its second attempt when i log in ,
I am able to go into the admin utility menu get into some commands like info about the servers, but there are commands in the menu that i am not able gain access to. Like Query the Servers , List of System logs etc;

And one more thing is that after the second attempt wherein i even fail to comeout of the Main Menu , the third attempt is a complete failure i.e not connecting to admin server or getting in Server Utility Menu.

thanks in advance
karthik

Hi all,
we have problem.We have a test configuration on AIX box wherein i start the server using "fmcamain -y FMC &" and when i connect to server using the admin utility, it works fine , i am able to login and browse through the admin utility menu.
I checked the processes using "ps -ef" and the process fmcamain -y was using "0" cpu memory during this procedure.
When i logged on to admin utility may be 2-3 minutes later , i was unable to connect to the server , i mean i am unable to get inot the menu.
At this point of time i looked at the processes on the BOX and the process
fmcamain -y was using around 55-58 of cpu memory.

I am unable to understand whats going on.Please help in understand what the problem is and how to resolve it.

Thanks
Karthik
