hi,
i want to insert xml-utf-8-values (e.g. chinese) into a utf-8 db2.
i put the xml-msg with ccsid 1208 and mqstr-option into the input-q.
within debug-mode everything looks good to me (all characters (270bytes) are displayed correct).
but when i see the db2-table-column (varchar(1000)) (after insert from compute node), only 70 characters converted into x'1A'.
my cli-trace says during db2-connect: ... appl=1252 ... db2=1208 ...

- what's wrong ?
- does the broker works only as appl=1252 ? how can i avoid this ?

it would be grateful for any advice/explanation of why these problems are occurring.

check the CCSID for DB2 set-up. Perhaps discuss this issue with the db2 admin ..


seems to be an ...let us know it got resolved ...

hmmm, ok i'll discuss this with my db2-admin.

but:
the db2-trace say's already, that the target ccsid is 1208. i wonder only about the ccsid from the application (here: wmqi-broker).
