I've just received WMQI 2.1 for AIX. I couldn't install it, because jre 1.3 is missing. They state, that it's on the supplement CD, but this is only the PTF to 1.3.0.10 level. The second thing deals with the documentation. Opening the home.pdf all works fine, but as soon as I chose one of the books, I get "The specified file ........ does not exist". Comparing the file name with the content of the directory on the CD indicates completely different directory structure.
Question: from where I can download JRE 1.3.0 for AIX? Does anyone tried so view the documentation on the supplement CD? What's exactly on the supplement CD under Install?

Hi
I could get around the installation problem. I've migrated now. So at the end it worked fine. There is still one thing open. The documentation can't be read through the home panel as there are incorrect directory names.

That's only for information. I solved my problem with the documentation. I run the installation program to install the documentation and all worked fine. To use use what's provided on the supplement CD doesn't work.

I ran into the same problem of not having the jre 1.3.0 base code - which prevents the install of wmqi v2.1 on aix. The PTF fileset on the supplemental CD is for IY24043 -PTF 8-, but as of today you need to get PTF 8a which is IY26212 - also known as Service Pack Level 10. (By the way, there is no such thing as Service Pack Level 10a today in case you read this on the IBM supported software page for WMQI). In order to get the base jre 1.3.0 go to the following web site and follow instructions to download. I spoke with IBM MQSI support about this issue, and they are going to make a note of it. I hope this information helps others, as I know I wasted some time trying to find this. IBM support was very helpful when I explained this situation to them:
