Dear Forum,
I have worked with MQ Series using windows 2000. In order to do this I used MQ Classes which are provided by IBM [url]www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/support/ supportpacs/individual/ma7p.html[/url]. Now whe i installed this I had to install Websphere also in the same machine, I used two dlls MQAX and amqmdnet.dll to conenct to MQ .
Now at time of deployment my app server and my MQ server are different . I dont know thses used dlls are referring intnernally to what all dlls so i will reqiwre to install this msi at my app server, but it cannot be installed as my mq is on diff machine, how can i go ahead , can anybody please help

I dont quite understand the question, but if you have coded activeX applications (using MQAX200.dll) then the dll is already installed alongside MQ (client and server, 5.2 and 5.3). If you have coded a .NET application using MA7P then I would ditch the support pack version and ensure your MQ server is 5.3 and install fixpack 5 - This gives you *supported* .NET although it is not registered after the install, you need to follow the instructions in the memo.ptf. (MA7P is cat2, ie unsupported. The fixpack version also includes additional changes).
Also, I think .NET applications link against specific versions of the .net dll, so you may need to rebuild your .net app using the newer version of the MQ support. |
