Automatically Managed Linear logs vs Circular |

Looks like when Linear Logs are under automatic management, the MQ Admin does not do anything with the logs.
If so, does this mean -lla should be treated the same as -lc? So far as, primary and secondary logs.
In fact, why would -lc be chosen over -lla? |

Well once you use lla you also have to set a few parameters in runmqsc on the qmgr concerning the log. Like automatic scheduling of the rcdmqimg type process, max interval, max active log size before checkpoint etc...
But once that is done, just relax and do nothing...  _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

I see that IMGSCHED needs to be changed to AUTO (from the default). Then the other settings can take effect which I guess I would start with defaults unless somehow I knew otherwise? |

Don't go with defaults but try to figure out the values you need like imglogsize = 3 logs and imgtime = 1 day and values like that...
