Guess this is a Best Practice question. I always thought the answer was no.

Should application or users put messages DIRECTLY to the SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE???????

My customer said a few of their application do this.

Location: US: west coast, almost. Otherwise, enroute.

Apps should never need to explicitly MQOPEN any transmission queue. The resolved queue name will be a transmission queue, AND the qmgr will create the appropriate XQH (transmission queue header).
