the password for the key.kdb file is missing .. i mean forgot
How can i change it to a new password without knowing the existing one.
Have previously done that a long time back.. could not recollect the command. |

| runmqakm -keydb -changepw -db xyz.kdb -new_pw mynewpw -stash -stashed |
No warranty. Better test first on a copy...

If you have lost the password or the stash file for a CMS KDB, there is no recourse. You will have to created a new KDB from scratch with a new password and add all the certs.
We had to do that once  Just once!

You mean to say: have lost the password AND the stash file. If you have either one of those it is easy to either create the stash file or change the stash file and password when just having the stash file...

For a jks file have you tried using runmqckm ?

Do you have a stash file for the JKS? I didn't think that format had stash files?
