Can anyone please tell me whether Security Channel Exit on MQ 5.2 can / can not establish a handshake with channels with SSL enable on MQ 5.3?

My understanding is that SSL resided in network layer however security channel exit is on the application layer. For this reason, it shouldn't works, right?
