I am creating various FILTER in webclient and trying out different THRESHOLD values. I am able to go upto THRESHOLD = 1496. After that WEBCLIENT complains "Too many items on this list. Please change the filter or the threshold".

Do you know any such limitation?

The "max message size" and "max query message size" for in workflow
system are specified as attributes at these levels.
You can modify the max sizes via fdl. The max message size at the Queue Manager level will need to be approriately set

These options can also be modified using Buildtime and should be modifiable using WBI Modeler...

As a general rule you should NEVER modify FDL directly.
