Hello,
I getting problems with opening MQWF client. The problem starts like this.,
When I opened the MQWF Client, the authentication window is not popping up and the application is not responding. I closed the Client (Ctrl+Alt+Del). Under services,I came to know that the
IBM MQSeries Workflow 3.4 is Automatic and nothing on status bar. I started manually using services. But still the client is not working.
Here is the fmcsys log file:
10/24/2003 8:01:35 AM FMC31050E An error has occurred which has terminated processing.
10/24/2003 8:01:35 AM
Exception Class : FmcExitException
Error ID : A2
Error Description :
No Java-Authentication Exit available: could not access authentication method.
I found the Authentication file in <MQSeries Workflow 3.4 SMP\java\authexit> directory.
But I couldn't find the <fmctoaut.jar> file, to put this in Server's CLASSPATH. I was wondering whether this jar file is missing !!! (Does Server's CLASSPATH & System's CLASSPATH are the same?)
Also, I was trying to enable authentication exit by using the command:
fmczchk -c inst:m,RTAuthenticationExitTypeServer,JAVA -y FMC
but of no use. My Administration Utility is not working to shutdown my Admin Server. After I entered my password, the Utility is not responding.
I would appreciate if anybody can solve my problem.
Thanks in advance.
Mike. |

Mike:
I am a little confused... Did you write an authentication exit?
If you have not done this, then you must turn off the authentication exit in the MQWF profile.
If I remeber correctly this is the command to use:
fmczchk -c inst:m,RTAuthenticationExitTypeServer -y<configid>
It looks to me like you are indicating that you have an authentication exit, that mqwf can not find. _________________ John McDonald

No, I was using somebody else machine where the MQWF already installed and configured. I guess, the person who used before had written Authentication Exits. And the Authentication Exit errors were there before I took it over. (I found this on Log file). Would there be any problems if I uninstall MQWF and install it again? What do you suggest me?
Using the command given by you, I was able to erase RTAuthentication Exit Server. But I was wondering about my Administration Utility, I don't know why it is not working.
Best Regards,

The admin server sounds like a connection problem... IF you can easily do as you said, just re-install, then that's what I think the quickest route to solving your problem is.
First remove the existing configuration; removing the QM and the DB when asked.
Then Install fresh configuration and you should be OK.
Realize that for reasons unknown to me, when the configuration is installed it does not start automatically, so you will have to start mqwf from your services folder.
ALSO if you blow away the current configuration you are going to lose everything in the database, so be sure that this is really what want to do before going ahead.

What kind of client are you using? You should be able to login to Workflow using the standard fat client even if an Authentication exit is defined. _________________ -Ratan |
