Since upgrading our NT queue manager to Websphere MQ 5.3 we have noticed that the queue manager appears to hang for up to 5 minutes after issuing a security refresh. This is most noticeable on the busiest queue manager. Any ideas why this is happening? |

What do you mean by "hang up" ? Do you have some output to give us ? Does the queue manager crash, or the application using MQSeries ? _________________ Alain Buret

Queue manager doesn't crash. Applications typically get 2033 after waiting for a reply. MQSeries Explorer doesn't respond presumably because it's waiting for the command server. But after a while (1 min or more, up to 5 mins) it responds normally. |

Have you multiple NT domains ? Because we had such a problem while MQSeries was making authentications. It was trying in local, then in the domain, and finally in the trusted domains.
This was giving us applications and Explorer very very slow response times. _________________ Alain Buret

Yes, we do have multiple domains. Thanks, that could be our problem. |
