is mft that much slower than sftp or is something not right?
1GB file
MQ – 2 tests each
dc1 to dc2 ~13MB/s,14.5MB/s
dc2 to dc1 ~17MB/s, 19.8MB/s
dc1 to dc1 ~27MB/s,23.8MB/s
Sftp - 1 test each
dc1 to dc1 268MB/s
dc2 to dc1 347MB/s |

I would expect a difference in throughput between MQ MFT and SFTP, as SFTP uses a "point to point" TCP protocol, but MQ MFT uses MQ messaging to transfer data. There is also a big difference in functionality, as MQ MFT provides a fully managed asynchronous file transfer capability with automatic recovery. There may be something that is constraining your MQ performance, as we typically see MFT transferring files faster than your measurements. _________________ Glenn |
