We are currently experiencing a fault that i've not encountered before. I have a cluster receiver that will not come up after failing services over to it. I can traceroute to the source IP without issue. Not sure if this is network or possibly a local DNS issue on my host.

AMQ9788: Slow DNS lookup for address 'X.X.X.X'.
EXPLANATION:
An attempt to resolve address 'X.X.X.X' using the 'getnameinfo' function
call took 14 seconds to complete. This might indicate a problem with the DNS
configuration.
ACTION:
Ensure that DNS is correctly configured on the local system.
If the address was an IP address then the slow operation was a reverse DNS
lookup. Some DNS configurations are not capable of reverse DNS lookups and some
IP addresses have no valid reverse DNS entries. If the problem persists,
consider disabling reverse DNS lookups until the issue with the DNS can be
resolved. _________________ Bradley M. Lovell |

You might consider turning off reverse DNS lookup. Hope you use the ip and not the DNS name in your chlauth records... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Talk your network support team? DNS lookup should be almost instantaneous. _________________ Glenn |

Hi,
since some days we're facing the same problem. The answers from our provider, who isthHosting the maschine, isn't very helpfull. Something like "...we did nothing/nothing has changed"
Has anybody an idea how to solve this issue?
