I have 1 input which generates 5 output files. If it fails while generating the 3rd file, what is to be done to reject the previously processed files ?

Whatever you've configured the flow to do.

There are no facilities in the FTP specification for grouping a set of file operations into a 'transaction'. If your flow creates some files, then thinks again and wishes that it had not...then it must clear up the mess itself.

This is not your fault, but it is a good reason to use MQ instead of FTP for moving data around the enterprise.
