JAVA code that runs in the Broker JVM uses /var/mqsi as the default location for files.
Is there a way to change it, outside of the JAVA code, without changing the MQSI workpath?

hi...yes, you can configure a different folder for the external jars, have a look at the below infocenter topics

HI,
I believe that these will not help me, for two reasons:
1) I wasn't talking about JARs
2) Most of those rely on
Code:
workpath
that I will not change.

Ah...apologies, can you please elaborate a bit more on what you are trying to achieve...for eg:- are you trying to store some external files with the workpath to be used by the java code

I do migration task, moving old code - JAVA JPA 2.0 running on WMB 8 - to IIB 10. In the old setup, the ehcache.xml and associated log4j.xml where placed in /var/mqsi.

After the migration, I want those files to placed elsewhere.

hi...how is the JAVA JPA app configured to lookup those files? eg: is it searching for the files directly at $MQSI_WORKPATH? if so you can then change the file path to a different location and set it at the app config.

Usually any dependencies used by Java projects (both Jars and other config files) are loaded from the class path. So if this app is doing the same then you need to explore how to configure a different location for the classpath used by this app.
