My system has the following:
MSQI v2.1
DB2 v8.1
I get the following error in EventViewer when attempting to create a MQSI Config Mgr using mqsicreateconfigmgr utility:
"( ConfigMgr ) Unexpected exception in the Configuration Manager DBManager class constructor method; exception text: 'java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver', 'COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver'.
While attempting a database operation on the configuration repository, an exception was caught by the Configuration Manager DBManager class constructor method. The database operation did not complete successfully. The exception text is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver, COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver.
This is an internal error. Contact your IBM support center. "
The db2java.zip file is located in <DB2>/java and the system classpath is set to this location. Using a SQL utility, I'm able to connect to a DB2 database using this jar file. What else do I need to do? |

Are you sure that DB2 8.1 is supported for use with WMQI v2.1? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Not sure...I've been told that MSQI v2.1 works with DB2 7.2 but I'm also using Workflow v3.4. I could roll back to DB2 7.2 and see if that works. Is the db2java.zip not compatible with MSQI 2.1? |

Hi,
I also got the same problem,i have set the classpath in the environment varaiables.
Set the classpath in the environment variables ,i mean to the directory where your db2java.zip is located, For example C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\java\db2java.zip
Cheers,
Chandra |
