well after 18+ years of doing MQ Support and having the last year away from MQ (not my choice) I decided I wanted to get back into it. Been studying and playing with MQ9 for last few weeks. Took exam today and Passed (yep I was shocked as never touched Z/Os, MQ Advanced, iSeries or Appliance and questions came up in that area!)
Anyone who wants to take the exam you cant beat experience and using it daily. But the Knowledge Centre was really good. Spent last 3 days reading it inside out probably 30+ hours and the practice exams that you can pay for.
Its told me that this is where I want to get back into hands on MQ Admin etc rather than just consultancy... So now time to find a Job back here in sunny UK on MQ Admin!! (Next step study IIB but im going to enjoy the garden and sunshine for rest of the week!!) |

It most likely won’t be for a few years
Ideally San Louis Obispo so I know virtually no chance of IT Work there in my skill set. But house Prices and family may force us further north towards Sacramento or just below in Tracy so San Fran not to far away
In meantime let’s see what I can get in UK! |

Moving to California... that's unusual. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

It could be worse. You could be moving to Illinois. Our state motto is "At least our credit is not junk status, well not yet". _________________ Working with MQ since 2010. |
