What are the options for providing alternate hosts in JDBC Configurable Service ?

Any ideas ?

Put the hosts in an HA cluster / sharing configuration (something analogous to Oracle RAC that other DBs have)?

Other solutions are undoubtedly possible and may be better. You could start by how you're providing alternate hosts to non-IIB based JDBC clients and see if you can reuse that wheel.

and / or modify the template to accommodate that wheel.
