When I try to start the toolkit it fails to open with the error that reads
!ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.launcher 4 0 2016-04-22 16:27:39.852
!MESSAGE Could not find extension: com.ibm.cds_2.1.0.201009130929.jar

But it opens if I use the id of someone with administrative privileges.
I have added my id to mqm and mqbrks group and there is no way I am getting administrative privileges. From what i read online this is not an eclipse error. Is there a way that I can resolve the error? |

What version (including patch level) are you using?
What platform?
How are you trying to start the toolkit? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

You should use the latest FP of IIB Toolkit - this is not 9.0.0.0.
The error is an eclipse error. The right jar files are not in the right places.
You could try uninstalling and re-installing the Toolkit, as a non root user.
Either way, make sure that non-root users have access rights to the Toolkit installation folder(s). _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

Tried to do that too.
Made sure that the entire IIB folder had access to all the users.
I am trying to run IIB Toolkit v 10.0.0.2 on Windows 7 and I have done the installation as an Administrator.
Can you please suggest what can be done to open the toolkit? We tried but the toolkit doesn't open up without any error response. Also, I was able to open the IIB toolkit by opening eclipse.exe

Start 'IBM Integration Toolkit 10.0.0.x' from the start menu as 'Run as administrator' and see that helps, the same can be run directly from <Installation path>/tools/IIBToolsLauncher.exe |

@abhi_thri
Thank you for the reply. I did that and tried to run it as an administrator both from the start menu as well as the installation directory but it fails to start up. There is a prompt to enter the admin password but after that, nothing happens. I have tried to re-install the IIB v10 with administrator privileges too but even the re-installation and re-start od the machine after uninstallation and re-installation did not help.
Any other pointers? |

Can you start 'IBM Integration Console 10.0.0.x' as Administrator and try starting the toolkit from there (command - iib toolkit) to see whether it reports any error.
Also worth checking the Windows Application error log at event viewer (eventvwr) for any errors.
Also instead of 10002 try installing one of the latest fixpacks to a different directory/drive |
