Hi all,
There is a problem:
When I Opened WebSphere MQ Explorer,I saw a message with content:
Could not initalize WebSphere MQ Services objects. 0x8000401A The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password.(AMQ4100).
and MQExplorer can't open. Although I Logged in Windows with userid and password which was granted mqm.
any one help me to resolve my problem
Thanks in advance

Thanks psanders,
But my version WebSphere MQ is 5.3.
OK, I use Remote Desktop in my system.
What are there to resolve it?

Check the identity that the MQ service is running under. It's hiding under Programs\Administrative Tools\Services. Open up IBM MQSeries and look under the Logon tab.
Good luck. |

Hi all,
I get the same error message when I try to expand the WebSphere MQ node in MQ Explorer.
I have already checked, that the user named in the Log On tab of the MQ service is in the mqm group. Nonetheless I get the error. Do you have any ideas?
Thx,
Claudia |

Look at the dcom object MQSeries, identity page, and ensure the userid is a userid in the local MQM group. Reset the password for it, and enter the new password into that panel.
If it still fails, look in the event log, system portion for dcom and com errors - are there any? |

I just reread the previous update, and its worth noting the userid of the services (as in operating system services) is completely irrelevant, and it should run as the system account. The id of the DCOM MQSeries object (dcomcnfg, component services) is the critical one |

Any chance of IBM making the error message more meaningful by referring to the DCOM service in some way? |

Nope (What... and do me out of a job!!)
Seriously though you could raise it as a requirement, as its easy enough to do! However I'm not sure if the same problem is relevant to the next release, and hence I would wait and see if it is 'fixed' already... |
