Hi All,
I am going to establish "Messaging as a Service" initiative for my organization. Since its a vast area to explore, I would like to get few practical experiences from each of you, if any; I already gone through the links available in web as of now.
I will keep updating the progress on my work here...
Thanks.

The concept gets more traction when you set up virtual machines in a hosted environment...
Need a qmgr? Execute this template and you'll get a vm with a qmgr on it in x mins...
The problem lies in effective accounting for licenses and what your organization is willing to do about it.

And if you are using queue manager clustering, how (or whether) you manage creating/deleting queue managers. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

MQ as a Service doesn't mean Messaging as a service, rather it is more relevant to Messaging Infrastructure as a service.
My concept of Messaging as a service is "Provider or consumer shouldn't even bother on which messaging technic they use to integrate, it can be message queuing, https or anything else.." I am in discussion with various vendors and SMEs in this space, will keep posted here....
Any other suggestions on messaging as a service will help me a lot..
Thanks |

I think you're talking about JMS.
And I think that, at a certain point, abstracting applications entirely away from the transport of their data can lead to unexpected problems that are hard to diagnose. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
