The IBM MQ team is currently conducting some long term research with our MQ customer base.
With this survey we would like to understand:
Who is interacting with MQ and what their responsibilities are,
Which customers are interested in moving MQ to the cloud (answer could be 'don't know'),
Which customers would like to take part in future research (interviews and/or surveys). Please provide details at the end of the survey.Â
We estimate this survey will take 4 minutes to complete.Â
Please share it with members of your team who interact with your messaging middleware. This survey is only for users of distributed MQ systems.
If you're interested in taking part, please comment below. |

Is this a legitimate arm of IBM? Or just some mid-tier marketeer with a sales group called IBM MQ team? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

In one of the many duplicate posts (News/Updates forum) is an IBM email ID, but whether that legitimises it is another question... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Just did the survey - I love surveys!!
Rather surprised to see MQGem tools and yet barely any other vendor tools listed in Q.10. What's that all about? _________________ Morag Hughson @MoragHughson

Hi all, thanks for your posts.
This piece of research is from a legit arm of IBM - I'm a design researcher from IBM MQ. I'm conducting some long term research for the team on MQ users and cloud technologies.
Apologies for the missing link - I'm new to mqseries.net and I wasn't able to post a link on my first post. Then when the returned the thread was locked!
Ideally this survey should be completed by MQ customers - specifically, anyone who has touch-points with MQ in their organisation.
Here's the link: http://sgiz.mobi/s3/98cda764d272
Many thanks for your interest.

The thread got locked because you posted in many different forums. The typical behavior of a spammer... Please post only in the relevant forum. You can only display a link if you have more than 1 post ...

That's a fair enough rule - apologies, I'll only post on this thread from now on.
Regardless, it would be great to have your input on the survey. I plan to be a frequent visitor to mqseries.net from now on and I hope there will be mutual benefits to all sides.
If you have any thoughts about MQ this is a great forum for your feedback to be channeled straight into the design team. _________________ Design Researcher, IBM Design, Hursley UK.

Are you part of / connected to the MQ Beta / MQ V.Next / whatever it's called these days programme?

We do some work together however this survey hasn't yet gone through those channels. _________________ Design Researcher, IBM Design, Hursley UK.

Perish the thought of you having an evil twin...
But many of us already do have contact with IBM Hursley though betas and user groups.
Some people here may even work for IBM but at a customer site. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

It appears to be accurate...
https://www.ibm.com/contact/employees/servlets/lookup
shows a result for Sasha Williamson. And i can otherwise confirm that she works in Design for the Hybrid Cloud team.
This means that she is not strongly, nor even necessarily at all, associated with the beta program. Although I suspect that the beta program may already have a lot of the information she's hoping to find from this survey.... _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
