Hi All,
Over the last 10 years I have been working on sites that use Omegamon XE for Monitoring and Alerting of MQ infrastructure, previously to that I was using BMC for 5 years.
I am now working at a site that do not have any monitoring in place globally so have started looking around to re-familiarize myself with what is out there on the market either Paid or Free..
The footprint is global with probably 20 Windows Servers across 10 different countries.
I've been trawling through Google to see if any vendors have put comparisons on there tools versus other off the shelf tools but have not come across anything yet. I have found this though, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxRMl2bNC_2pN3FiYlpmRU1fNXM/edit does anyone know if its still accurate and especially would you agree around the costing score he has given?
Also I will add that the client will not be wanting to develop their own set of tools so would be looking at a solution that they can basically deploy and configure. If it can also monitor MQFTE tasks as well that would be massively beneficial.
Any comments on tools you use would be appreciated. |

Have a look at N a s t e l's Contact Admin. Speaking from experience it's the only one I've found that's easy to set up, use, and actually do the job.
DISCLAIMER! I am not, nor have been, an employee of contact admin, nor will they be giving me a bung for shamelessly promoting their product (unfortunately), or lavishly wine me and dine me, or provide dancing girls for my entertainment.
It seems that the vendor's name and product is replaced with the placeholder 'Contact Admin', and as I do not wish to incur the wrath of the site admin I'm not going to spell it out either - but most aircraft have one _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Just be aware that some links are way out of date.
MQSoftware has been acquired a few years back by BMC. So you'd have to ask them what they did with the corresponding products. They sure re-branded them quickly despite the name recognition they enjoyed...
[plug]Make sure to consider IR360 in your review. It has enjoyed a lot of pull over the last few years[/plug]
Disclaimer: I am not an employee either present or past of A v a d a Software...
