I think you meant to say "Add another workflow server". 3-tier architecture makes sense but to load balance, you need to have a client concentrator. What type of client are you using (web-client, fat client???)

We´r using a Fat client. And, ciertaly i need a client concentrator. But, i dont know if this client concentrator can be configured like a server, or how is the way to configure that client concentrator. Ãt is necesary copy a chltabs of the new cliente concentrator to each client (user computer)? or not?
Sorry, my english isn´t very good. But i try!

Client Concentrator needs to be configured as a client with a Queue Manager.
Yes, you have to copy the chltab of the client concentrator to each client. _________________ -Ratan |

Hi Sue
Your english is understandable and If I am not wrong there are quite a number of users from non-english speaking countries.
I think you are on the right track to increase the number of users for your workflow system. Pleaes refer to the Appendix A in the Redbook SG24-6590-00 and quick client concentrator setup in installation guide for further information.

Hi!
I had tried to create a Cliente Concentrator, using FMCZUTIL script.
I tried with the "Client With QManager" option. The scritp runs ok, but when I try to run the new QManager (Client Concentrator), appear an error message:
$ strmqm FMCQMCD
AMQ8118: MQSeries queue manager does not exist.
So, Im don´t understand why?
I had been loking for the new Qmanager, but doesn´t exist..... Just appears on /var/fmc/qmgrs. But, when I tried to runs, the message appear again.
We don´t have any key for this path: /var/mqm/qmgrs
What can i find the new Qmanager?¡????
It is possible to have 1 Qmanager for the engine of Workflow and other QManager as client Concentrator on the same machine????

Bracken:
I am not sure what happened, but looks like the Queue Manager is not created.
On a command prompt run dspmq and it will tell you whether the queue manager that you are looking for exists or not.
What OS are you running this on.
On a windows machine I tried to create a client concentrator using fmczutil and got this
Code: |
- FMC33760I A queue manager has been found that is already configured for WebSp
here MQ Workflow. Do you want to use this queue manager for your client setup?
- FMC33753I Following queue managers configured for MQ Workflow were found on y
our machine:
FMCQM
- FMC33717I Do you want to reuse one of this queue managers ?
y ... Yes
n ... No |
Maybe you have by mistake said y and it didn't create the queue manager.
The selections you made will be stored in a file. That might help you in figuring what went wrong.

Remember the workflow is 3.3.2 and I think the concentrator configuration is only supported in version 3.4. But the client concentrator is also possible to configure in version 3.3.2. _________________ Lillo
