IBM MQ Installation error. |

Hi docs,
I have been facing a issue from last few day.
In my environment we have windows server 2008R2 in which we have installed MQ ver 7.0.1 few years ago.
Now we have planned to install MQ ver 9.0 after uninstalling MQ 7.0.1.
I have tried to uninstall in from Control panel.
when i tried to do it no action has been occurred and uninstallation did not happen. when raised a ticket to our system admin he also tried to uninstall through control panel but he failed. So finally what he didi was removed files from registry with out uninstalling.
Now wen we tried to install the same MQ ver 7.0.1 back it is through a error
"Error 1314.the specified path \uninst\ is unavailable"
we have tried in all possible ways like cleaning registry , deleting all the ibm folder etc.we have tried to install it many number of time.
But we were not successful in installing
Please any one can help me out with this issue.
do i need to remove any other folder or any files or anything.

Well this is a tricky one. In the MQ 9 installation directory you should find a file called resetMQ.cmd... Have you tried running it??  _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Why did uninstall fail? What errors occurred? What is in the MQ uninstall log file?

Very high risk of stuffing up! You should have properly diagnosed the uninstall issue, and/or raised a Service Request with IBM. _________________ Glenn |
