Hi All,
I am preparing for MQ8 System Administration certification.
As a study material I have a redbook "IBM MQ V8 Features and Enhancements" .
Is there any other study material which I should refer to?
Also any additaional recommendation for me ?

Good for you!
Have you asked about when the V9 tests will be available (if they are not yet)
Take the sample test. Don't just go into the formal test without knowing what sort of question to expect
Finally,
And (unless things have changed) really get clued up on Mainframes and the features on them that are different to distributed. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Google mq certification sample questions, see what comes up that looks most appropriate and read the page you land on carefully. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

If you are reading this redbook, you should also read the redbooks for MQ V7 Features and Enhancements, and WebSphere MQ Primer.
The exam covers all platforms, so as well as UNIX and Windows, there may be the odd question on an AS/400 command or a z/OS command or specific feature. Sometimes a question may mention a platform, but the situation and answer may be valid for multiple platofmrs.
If you can get 100% correct on the sample questions, and understand the answers, you are probably ready. In sitting the exam, if you have any doubt, choose the answer they are expecting, not an answer that you have a personal or philosophical opinion should or could be correct. Eliminate the negative answers choices and you should be left with one correct answer.
Don't ask on this forum for the answers to possible exam questions -- you need to research it yourself and LEARN and gain practical experience. _________________ Glenn |

Also, I have heard that any sample questions that you can find on the web will not be in the IBM exams, past, present or future. So rote learning the answers to sample questions is of no use in the exam. _________________ Glenn |

We don't provide answers to sample or real certification exams.
If you are having trouble with a question particularly on the sample, you should try and recreate the scenario and find out for yourself. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
