A customer made an update from CSD0 to CSD5 without deleting the CfgMgr.

1. Can we assume that this can cause some problems and instability?

2. Is it enough to rollback that installation, delete the CfgMgr (maintaining the DB tables and the QMgr), reinstall the CSD5 and then ricreate the CfgMgr?

Thanks in advance for any hint,

I don't see any reason to roll back the install. Just delete and recreate the configmgr (keeping, as you say, the databases!).

I think it is basically required to do this going from CSD02 to CSD03 anyway, because of the message validation additions in CSD03.
