Can anyone give information about "BIP" which is prefixed with error codes in logs like "BIP8873I"

All IBM messages (used to) start with a 3-character prefix. The prefix is not significant, and you don't need to know what it stands for (unless you need to settle a debate with your colleagues, of course).
