A new delimiter ‘#’ was introduced in HL7 version 2.7 as the recommended truncation character. However, the HL7v2.7 DFDL Library provided by IBM in IIB Healthcare Pack V3.0 does not include the truncation character delimiter in MSH:2, although its mentioned in the documentation that the DFDL library meets the standards set out in HL7 V2.7 standards.
Would appreciate it if anyone lets me know if HCP4 (requires IIBv10 as a pre-requisite) supports the truncation character?

The people who can tell you are prpbably in IBM.
I'd raise a PMR on the Healthcare kit.
It would be nice to report what happens with the PMR here so that the thread is complete. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
