Hi folks,
It is given in the MQ System Administration Manual that 2-phase commit is not supported on Windows NT with Oracle 7 and MQ Series 5.1.
Is it supported on Windows 2000,Oracle8i and MQseries 5.2 having MQ as XA Manager???
Thanx in adv...
RK

According to:
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/websphere/mqplatforms/supported.html
MQ 5.2 will work with Oracle 8i, 8iR2, 8iR3 on Windows 2000.

thanx a lot for the link..
We downloaded mqdb2log.java sample and changed it to work for oracle.
oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource myDataSource =
new oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource();
myDataSource.setUser("TEST");
myDataSource.setPassword("TEST");
myDataSource.setURL("jdbc:oracle:thin:@172.0.7.41:1521:"+dbName);
jdbcConn = qMgr.getJDBCConnection(myDataSource);
try
{qMgr.begin(); }
catch(MQException me)
{
if((me.completionCode == me.MQCC_WARNING)||(me.reasonCode == me.MQRC_NO_EXTERNAL_PARTICIPANTS ))
{}
else{ throw me;}
}
MQPutMessageOptions pmo = new MQPutMessageOptions();
pmo.options = pmo.options | MQC.MQPMO_SYNCPOINT;
myQueue.put(myMessage, pmo);
Statement stmt = jdbcConn.createStatement();
try { int rowsUpdated = stmt.executeUpdate(runShow);
} catch (java.lang.Exception ex) {
validStatement = false;
}
stmt.close();
qMgr.commit();}
else {
qMgr.backout();}
We have configured oralce as per the system administration manual.
Do we need to establish the MQ connection and DB connection for every message we receive...????
In the above example database is not commited if i am commenting
stmt.close();
Is there any specific oracle/mq configuration required on windows???
thnax
