Came across an issue with two wsdl generated Models (using the start Wizard) whereby if the same XSD is used (in this case soapenv12.xsd in the ...\IBMdefined\org\w3\www\_2003\_05\soapenvelope, which is generated for both models as expected) in the same EG it throws deploy error saying there are multiple XSDs with same name.
This is get, as my understanding is that if an xsd of same is found in the EG and both are the same content then it utilises one copy and all is good, obviously if different then it wouldn't know which XSD to use at the time, BUT the two copies I have in my EG are exactly the same except the comment section which in one has another developers name for the below format
Code: |
Recommendation:
http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-soap12-part1-20030624/
$Id: soapenv12.xsd 81527 2016-08-11 12:57:55Z fredBloggs $ |
....and mine of course my own - now assuming that this is written by the toolkit editor or whatever and the fact that comments have zero impact on the definition of the XSD why are the comments sections being compared and thus generating a deploy error saying they are then same when they are in both function and impact??
Is there a way in toolkit to prevent it writing these comments or is it a PMR, cos its a PITA!!!
thanks (frustrated!!)[/code] _________________ -------- *

Which version of the IIB toolkit?
Shared library or static library ( or not a library at all )? |

Sorry timber meant to put
This is IIBV10 happens in both fixpacks 04 and 05 (recent upgrade)
static library (not tried shared tbh, as not using shared), just would appear odd that when all whitespace and comment is removed from say ESQL couldnt apply some similar logic to comments in XSDs _________________ -------- *

If you really want to open a PMR for this then go ahead.
But I wonder whether most of your problems would go away if you removed the $id$ from that file. After all, it's not authored by you or your team, so version control strings are not exactly essential in that file. |

i will look into that as it may be the subeclipse svn that is puting that in as its not something i have manually added, had presumed it was toolkit that was doing this but will check that out. thx _________________ -------- *
