Hello,
It appears that my IIB v9.0.0.1 is installed in the location /opt/mqsi/9.0.0.1, but the fixpack got installed at /opt/ibm/mqsi/9.0.0.5
This is on Linux.
How do I uninstall the fixpack to install it again? Or is it just enough if I change the mqsi_filepath in mqsiprofile to point to the latest fix pack location? |

This is a location selected at install time by the user.

This is the default location if the user doesn't select anything.

You use the uninstall option

How about you look up the rules on co-existing versions in the InfoCenter and then decide what you want to do? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Ok,
so if multi-versionied broker exists, then how would I know which version of the remote broker is connected using the toolkit?
Do I have to deploy and do everything else only using the command window in this case? |

I mean, if a broker was already created at 9.0.0.1 and then I also install fix pack 9.0.0.5.
Does the existing broker run as per 9.0.0.1 or 9.0.0.5?
My toolkit is also currently connected to the remote broker 9.0.0.1, after the fix pack, how would this behave?
I am new to this concept, I apologize in advance if these questions have some obvious answers. |

And when you followed my suggestion to look up coexistence in the InfoCenter, what did you fine?

How many brokers are there on the remote box? I bet the act of installing the fix pack didn't create another one. So what would affect the already created broker? What does the InfoCenter say about existing brokers when fix packs are applied?

And these obvious answers have been added to the InfoCenter exactly because they're obvious and everyone needs to know the answer to them. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
