I've downloaded fix pack(Linux 64) in Fix Central which update my iib10.0.03 to 10.0.05, but found it was a completed installment package,I wonder whether it's the same with the genuine package after installment? |

I don't understand what you mean by "genuine package". You think IBM put malware in Fix Central? They put non-standard parts in Fix Central?
Each Fix Pack is cumulative, and IIBv10 allows co-existence of versions. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I mean I thought originally fix pack is an upgrade package, but the discovery after the download is complete installation package, I want to know the installation package and buy CD in the installation package is there a difference between (such as the function are missing) |

Ok, might be struggling with the language here.
The "installation package" is available as a download or on a CD (though to be fully transparent I can't remember the last time I used a CD for a broker install). There's only one version of v10.0.0.3, or of 10.0.0.5, or of any other fix pack level. You don't get a "better" version with extra features on the CD version.
It's not like a movie when the download is just the movie, but the Blu-ray has bonus features. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You can apply the FixPack on top of an existing installation location.
You can install the FixPack into a new installation location.
You can not simply install a FixPack without installing either a GA (generally available) or a RefreshPack install - either one counts as a 'base' product version. If you do this, then you are not in compliance with license terms, and likely the FP install fails. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

@vitor: Love the "It's not like a movie when the download is just the movie, but the Blu-ray has bonus features". That has given us a good laugh in the office today. Imagine a "Making of" documentary! _________________ Regards
