tried with -w and restated the broker but still facing the same issue.
WMB version : 8.0.0.7
getting the below error:
# mqsicreateexecutiongroup BROKER -e testEG
BIP1124I: Creating execution group 'testEG' on broker 'BROKER'...
BIP1047E: The operation timed out waiting for a response.
The utility did not receive an expected response from the broker within
a designated amount of time. The operation might have completed
successfully, even though the response was not received.
Ensure that the broker is running and that the correct connection
parameters have been supplied to the utility. Use the -w flag to
increase the amount of time to wait for responses. |

you need to set a time after -w, like -w 300... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Can you create the EG using MQExplorer?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

So you got an error back from the mqsicreateexecutiongroup.
Do you otherwise see that the EG has actually been created?
What does the Broker report in the system log of the machine where it is being run?
What do you see if you run a user trace while trying to create the EG?
Can you otherwise connect to the broker using other things - The IIB explorer in MQExplorer or the IIB admin web console... ? _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

1. Is your id added to mqm and mqbrkrs group
2. Do you have admin privilege
3. Is your MQ service and BROKER service running, if you are in Windows
If all are there and still not able to create , try creating new resources starting from QM.
It worked for me. |
