The software repository is finally UP! In addition, the front door to http://www.mqseries.net has changed. If you go to http://www.mqseries.net now, you should see a front page that allows you to either enter the message forums (here) or the software repository. Keep in mind that if you have placed http://www.mqseries.net as one of your favorite places or bookmarks that you have bookmarked this message forum URL, NOT the URL for the front page. To fix this you'll need to actually type http://www.mqseries.net in your browser and then set that as a bookmark.
All files are .Z'd, which I chose because popular windows zip program like WinZip can deal with .Z files, but not with .tar.gz files which most UNIX users are used to. Similarly, if I used .zip, gzip won't recognize that suffix (at least on linux). So this seemed the way to make the most people happy. So simply use WinZip or gzip to uncompress the files and you have the source code. Right now, the documentation is limited to what you will see in the description headings, but I will try to add READMEs as time permits. Also, please email me any code snippets you have that you would like to see added to the repository - and you will receive fame and glory!
Please let me know what you think, I am always trying to improve things so send me feedback! Also, be sure to check out the "search" function in the repository. Although there are very few sample codes in there right now, you'll be able to see how powerful this search function will become when we have more code to select from...

Just added the "Code Repository" button in the top right hand corner so you can jump there from the message forums. "Home" takes you back to http://www.mqseries.net

I agree about the front door Neil. I threw it together last night in about 10 minutes so I'll definitely be going back and fluffing it up. But I'm not sure what to put. I guess I could try to design my own graphics and/or logo, maybe little messages floating around between queues. I dunno, I'm not a graphic designer. But I'll definitely make it look more inviting...

By the way, is the automatic download working for everyone? I've noticed that in Netscape it seems to think .Z files are html that it should render (what genius did that) instead of prompting for a download. IE seems to be working fine though. If people are having problems I can turn the automatic download off so that you manually have to right-click the link and save the target. But I'd like to try and save everyone a few mouse clicks. So let me know if you are having any problems...
