The saveqmgr is unable to take the backup of the some subscription and topic.
The saveqmgr failed message is stuck under DEADQ and dead letter process went down. |

You will need to provide more specific information.
What exactly ended up in the DLQ? Post the dead-letter header and message here.
What error was written to the error log? Or STDERR? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

When I ran saveqmgr, the message is stuck in the dead letter queue with the below reason. The saveqmgr is ending abruptly.
Total Messages on the Dead Letter Queue ----------- 1
Totals by Reason
2053, MQRC_Q_FULL --------- 1
Totals by Destq
SAVEQMGR.56ECE8EB25016564 -- 1

The question should rather be: Why is saveqmgr not consuming the messages in its reply queue? Or in other words, what is the standard error output of saveqmgr??
Could you use dmpmqcfg instead of saveqmgr? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

What version of MQ are you using because it may have the dmpmqcfg command?
If you are making a backup of the definition, don't forget to copy the qm.ini and mqs.ini files. Without those, you will have no idea what options were used to create the Qmgr. |

Both savegmgr and dmpmqcfg can act as clients. So the only requirement is to have either an MQv8 client to use dmpmqcfg, or any MQ client to use saveqmgr.
But the version of saveqmgr strongly affects what objects it can process. Versions built for mq v7, for example, don't know about any new objects or properties introduced in 7.5 or 8. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
