Hi

Weve jsut done exactly the same on AIX and got similar issue. IBM provided us with a fix that isnt rolled out in Message Broker (were on 8.0.0.6) to target this issue, it was to update files to use Java 7.

Ive jsut searched my emails and cant find the email detailing the fix now and we only did it last week!.

I'll contact the engineer that did it for me tomorrow when he is back in the office for the link.

if it's an iFix it doesn't matter the link. chrisMQ will have to open a PMR anyway.

having the iFix number, however, will help.

ok this was the Fix we were given and IBM Told us it would be rolled out into 8.0.0.7

APAR 8.0.0.6-WS-MB-AIXPPC64-TFIT03599.tar.Z

There is no link on the Web that they gave but this is a snippet from the ReadMe showing it updates the mqsiprofile

Extract the archived JRE17 that will now be in the Broker install directory and ensure the permissions of the folder and files beneath match those of the jre16 directory.

8. As v8 currently uses the jre in the jre16 folder we need to update the mqsiprofile script which can be found in the bin directory to point at the new jre17 which is shipped with this fix.
In the mqsiprofile.sh file you should see the following line:
MQSI_JREPATH=${MQSI_FILEPATH}\jre16

This needs to be updated to
MQSI_JREPATH=${MQSI_FILEPATH}\jre17

.

The TFIT number should be the iFix number. A PMR asking for that iFix should be relatively quick.

PMR data, including iFixes are private. iFixes are released when they have been sufficiently tested, if there is strong enough reason to ship them before the release they're included in.

The fact that v8 is using JRE 1.6 by default should say a lot about the risks one is taking with v8...
