I have an MQ FTE Agent installed on a particular server(OS:Windows) which is running as a service. The agent's status sometimes become "INVALID" or "PROBLEM". I tried searching for the both but could not find anything on "INVALID" status but to the "PROBLEM" status I found out that "maxCommandHandlers" attribute can be given a higher value but I could not the maximum value to which it can be kept.Current value is 500. I have tried cleaning the agent but still the problem persists. The status from the past 2 days is "INVALID"
Please advise. |

Hi Bruce,
As stated in my actual question, I tried searching for both but could not find anything on "INVALID" status. For the "PROBLEM" status I found out that "maxCommandHandlers" attribute can be given a higher value but I could not find the maximum value to which it can be kept.Current value is 500. I have tried cleaning the agent but still the problem persists.
So, Ibasically have 2 questions.
1. What is the maximum value for "maxCommandHandlers" attribute ?
2. Agent status is "INVALID" and I could not find anything regarding this status on IBM knowledge centre. |

Are there additional error messages on the agent machine? _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

I'm not sure where you have got this "maxCommandHandlers" attribute from?? I know of the "maxCommandHandlerThreads" agent property but there should really be no need to change this from the default value of 5.
An INVALID status, I believe, is only seen when viewing the agent status through the MQ Explorer (rather than the fteListAgents command for example). Is that where you see this status? What version of MQ Explorer are you using?
Is your agent running and performing transfers? If so, can you check the MQ network between your agent queue manager and coordination queue manager to ensure logging and status messages can be routed between the two.
Finally, has anything changed recently when this problem started or is this a new setup? |
