I am confused a bit, please shed some light if you can
for example i am looking at the iib v10.0.03 system requirements
it says
rhel 7 product minimum is 10.0.0.3
rhel 6 product minimum is 10
does that mean i can install 10.0.0.3 on RHEL 6? i would think so. I see MQ system requirements and it follows the same convention
please clarify. thanks. |

It means on RHEL 6.4 or newer, you can install IIB 10.0.0.0 or newer.
For example, IIB 10.0.0.3 could be installed on RHEL6.6. _________________ Peter Potkay

As a useful rule, your production environment minimum level should be not less than the previous fixpack available. So if the current fixpack is 10.0.0.3, your production environments should be at least at 10.0.0.2.
There may be necessary features and security fixes to put your production environments at the latest fixpack, but that's a separate point. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

Paraphrased: you should let others debug the most recent fixpack before you install it. And, we thank you for doing so. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Or at least make sure you run the latest FP up through your normal testing/environment propagation processes. That is, install and test it in your dev environment, then your test environments(s), etc etc etc. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |
