Hi Experts - Because of audit purpose we have to remove MQServer Installations and just install the client on our app servers, by mistake someone installed full blown MQServer there.
My question is basically can I use the same installation software and just choose client to install and deselect all rest, will that do after uninstalling the server completely as there was never a need for these app servers to have MQ server at the very first place.
Thanks |

It would help to know the platform and MQ version involved here. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |

No point reinstalling MQ v7.0.1.3 since this is about 6 years old and no longer supported by IBM.
You might as well use the MQ client only installation which comes as a support pac rather than the full install with most of it turned off.

I suggest version v7.5.0.4 since that supports all the ciphers - versions after that remove some of them. _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it.
