I have a VB6 app running MQ Series Client 5.3. It's accessing queues on OS/390. Problem occurs randomly with various users. They can be running for an hour or six hours, it doesn't seem to matter. I have users running fine for weeks, then receive this error once. Exiting the application and restarting resolves the problem.

I've checked all the settings I can find that would identify the queue manager and all seem fine. I also received a suggestion from IBM to verify that the MQOD object type = MQOT_Q_MGR and and the objectqmgrname is blank. I guess if the objectqmgrname is not blank but the name is not that of the local queue manager, this error can occur.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where else I can look?

Are these apps client connecting to OS/390 machine and are they designed to stay connected 24/7 ???

App is connecting to MQ, processing some work, then disconnecting. I've displayed all of the objectqmgr names I can find & they look fine. The traces I've done on MQ however show that somehow garbage is getting into the objectqmgr & dynamicqmgr in the MQOD.
