Which queue a channel connects to depends on what type of a channel it is.
The properties of a channel will tell you exactly what queue it is reading from, if any. _________________ chmod -R ugo-wx / |

Channels don't connect to queues, they connect to queue managers. They are used by applications to access the various objects hosted by a queue manager.
If you want to know which application has opened a given queue, use this to identify the handles. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I've made the simplifying assumption the OP is talking about a SVRCONN, as that's most typically where this kind of question arises. I accept your general point unreservedly.

If it's the kind of channel that reads from a queue. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I don't know an easy way to see which queues a particular channel has open, but it's easy to see what is connected to a particular queue using queue status (MQ explorer) or queue usage (MO71). _________________ Well, I don't think there is any question about it.
