As jdbc:odbc is going out the window, I don't know that you could... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Care to elaborate on what you meant by jdbc:odbc going out the window?
Do you mean that it is hard for Java to use an ODBC connection? _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

No, I mean that the standard jdbc:odbc driver that used to come with the JDK is no longer supported or in the distribution in the newer versions of java. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Doesn't the mqsicvp route the command to the broker for execution?
I suppose the CMP would do the same, tell the broker to test the ODBC connections.. So the CMP being Java should not be of concern.. _________________ Regards |

I don't think that it does. I have several broker build scripts that run 'mqsicvp' where the broker is not running and guess what? they work.
Pretty easy for you to try for yourself you know. _________________ WMQ User since 1999
