Hi All,
I have used Mq series on windows and AIX platform. Now my client requirement is to bring mainframe data on web site.
Here we want to install mq on mainframe and access it using java servlet as client,
I need information on how to install mq on mainframe as I am new to mainframe. what do I need to consider to store data on mq from mainframe etc.
any help will be appreciated.

If you are new to mainframe, you'd better ask someone to install MQ there. I'm not saying it's difficult, but you need to know how to create and submit mainframe jobs. I won't give you the procedure here - have a look at the manual.
Once you install MQ, you need to create a queue manager. It's quite different from Win or Unix. There's no single command like crtmqm. There's no 'wizard' like MQ Explorer. Instead, there are dozen (or so) steps to be performed. A mainfraime queue managere is defined as a subsytem. The process is described in the docummentation. Consult your local mainframe systems programmer.
Don't attempt to mess about with mainframe system software without a good knowledge of the subject as you will put your entire service at risk. |
